Monday Memo 10/3/17

Our first Mystery Reader and her biggest fan!
Mystery Reader

Thank you to Melissa Hartford, our first Mystery Reader.  The class enjoyed the anticipation all day on Friday that a Mystery Reader would be here in the afternoon.  Melissa shared two wonderful books with us.  Ask your child which one she/he liked the best!

I hope you can be our Mystery Reader soon.  Click here to see which dates are available, and please email me to let me know which slot you would like.  Thank you.

Field Trip

Your child brought home a permission slip today for our trip to the Blue Hill Weather Observatory.  Please look for it.
Homework

Your child brought home a paper copy of the October Homework Calendar today.  Please click here if you need another copy.

Ms. Santomenna, guidance counselor, leads Open Circle.

Open Circle

We are lucky to have Ms. Santomenna joining us every Monday for Open Circle.  This is a time for problem solving and social/emotional learning.

Weather:  Learning about Air

We enjoyed blowing bubbles with our fourth grade buddies!  We are also very grateful to the PTO, who is generously funding the Acton Discovery Museum Traveling Science Workshop.  We will enjoy this visit and special presentation on Friday to enhance our study of the weather.

Conferences

Parent conferences begin soon.  Thank you for signing up so promptly.  I look forward to discussing your child's progress with you.  Please be sure to bring the cornucopia project in the envelope that I distributed at Back to School Night.  Here is the link if you forget the directions.  Thank you.

Math Stations

I would love a parent to come in every Tuesday for an hour for Math Stations.  Click here to see what dates are available, and email me to let me know the slot you would like.  Thank you in advance!

Have a great week.  Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
